FCA Fields of Faith 2015
Since 1954 the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) has been challenging coaches and athletes at all levels to use the powerful medium of athletics to impact the world for Jesus Christ. Fields of Faith is a ministry outreach of FCA.
FIELDS OF FAITH | 2015
Fields of Faith is a student led event. Students invite, pray for, share with, and challenge their peers to read the Bible and follow Jesus Christ. An athletic field provides a neutral, rally point where a community can come together. This year, our SW Michigan area Fields of Faith was held at Loy Norrix High School, in Kalamazoo, MI. Students from several local schools were represented, among them: Schoolcraft, Vicksburg, Galesburg-Augusta, Parchment, Kalamazoo Christian, Heritage Christian, Loy Norrix, Kalamazoo Central, Portage Central, Portage Northern, and many more.
Former football running back Noah Herron and area native was the guest speaker. He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the seventh round of the 2005 NFL Draft, after playing college football at Northwestern. His words of inspiration and encouragement were received by young and old alike at the event - there is never a time that Jesus can't do something in and with your life, and He is fully at work in you until it is completed.
